This CNC machined 6061-T6 aluminum mount bolts to the passenger head providing a mount for GM 10si alternator on Buick 225 V6 odd-fire engines.
The weak stock hollow cast aluminum bracket has always been a weak point on these engines, especially when used in high vibration environments such as early Jeeps. These mounts are CNC cut from a solid chunk of billet material to make for the strongest possible mounting system. The resulting 3.5lb(!) bracket bolts in place of your stock bracket on the cylinder head with provided grade 8 yellow-zinc coated hardware. A new cnc laser cut 3/16" tension arm is also included with this package with its associated mounting hardware.

Tech Details - ( I will be updating this section as I consolidate more information )
-Bracket is provided in a bare aluminum finish
-Be sure to clean and bottom tap all three mounting holes on the head. There is some variability on thread depth. The fasteners are sized 'deep' for the most thread engagement possible. Be sure to check for bottoming during the install. The fasteners can be shaved slightly if you have a 'shallow' hole. I do not recommend trying to drill and tap any deeper than stock because of casting shift and the water jackets. All mounting bolts in the head are tapped 3/8-16 from the factory.
-A new tension arm CNC laser cut from 3/16" HRPO Steel is included and is plated Yellow-Zinc with 5/16-18 Flange Head Hardware
